Boiler not responding to thermostat
Your device is usually in line with the new time when the clocks go backwards or forwards Failing to respond to your thermostat could mean that the controls may be old or broken. The obvious thing to do is to replace the batteries, as this often gets forgotten. Another thing you can also try is to position the thermostat closer to the boiler to limit any chances of interference that could be causing it.
Noises coming from your boiler
Gurgling and whistling noises coming from your boiler are pretty common however if it is a noise you have not heard before or it starts making sounds that is unusual then we recommend that you get in touch with a qualified heating engineer. These sounds usually occur if there is an issue with a faulty pump or low water pressure.
Low boiler pressure
You can check to see if the pressure on your boiler is low by checking the pressure gauge. It should be set at 1.5 bar however anything below 1 will cause your boiler to not function correctly. Low pressure is usually caused by leaks or if you have recently bled your radiator. Any signs of the leak should be looked at by a Gas Safe engineer.
